Around 80 people of all ages gathered together on Saturday, October 4th to honour the lives of the missing and murdered aboriginal women and girls. With the Sound of drumming and singing, Tone Yoga Studio was packed with people standing pondering on why.
Guest speaker Gladys Radek, co-founder for Tears4Justice made it clear that it will not be forgotten. After Joachim passed out images of women and girls, Gladys spoke about their plight - one by one. There are far too many missing and murdered across Canada. One is for too many; and the room had an eerie silence except for Gladys' voice speaking of this tragedy. There was anguish. There was frustration. There was a deep deep sadness. Amongst this was hope. Let us all carry this hope with the believe that things will change and the world will be safer for aboriginal women and girls. With this believe....let us take action! ~ Mossy
