Owen Sound Funk Band
CD Release Party This is going to be one funky party! THE DOWN RIGHT, a funk band from OWEN SOUND, are releasing an album. You're invited to the party! It’s at Owen Sound’s St. George’s Hall on June 28. The show is the seventh in Mossy Gatherings’ spring/summer 2014 concert series. The Down Right perform in many Grey/Bruce towns, but rarely do they perform in Owen Sound. Opening for them is another local band, The Sportswriters. It will be a great night of amazing local music and lots of dancing! Local Band, THE SPORTSWRITERS will open this evening. A portion of the proceeds will go to help support young aspiring musicians in the Grey/Bruce area as well as OSHARE. Tickets May be purchased at the River Cafe, Fromager Music, and online.

Edale Coffee is a local micro-roastery offering fresh roasted, fair trade and organic coffee. Their coffee is roasted in a one-of-a-kind wood-fired roaster located in Big Bay Ontario. Harley Eden is the mastermind behind the roasting with many years of experiance as a roaster for Planet Bean Coffee in Guelph Ontario. He is dedicated to having his business offer a product that is delivered to customers as fresh as possible, using high quality and ethically produced beans. His partner Candice Newmaster works along side ensuring the business runs smoothly. In her spare time, she also works as a cook at The Bleeding Carrot in Owen Sound.
