Event Contracts are between the venue, the performer and Mossy Gatherings
Policies and procedures:
Each Mossy Gathering's Venue must promote other Mossy Gathering's Venue's events. This involves displaying posters of Mossy Gathering's Events happening at all venues. Posters for your venue’s event should be prominently displayed. Posters for other events should also be visible.
Tickets for all Mossy Gathering's events will be sold at all Mossy Gathering's Venues.*
In keeping with our “Art inspired by Art” concept, visual artists may be performing or promoted at events.
Invitations to potluck will be extended only to event ticket holders. Dinner starts at 5:30pm and ends at 6:30pm.**
Espresso machines, coffee grinders and other loud appliances must not be used during the event performance but may be operated during dinner, before and after the show, and during intermission. Coffee and food sales may continue at your discretion.
Venue proprietors get two complimentary tickets to attend a Mossy Gathering's event of their choice at another venue for each event that they host.
Mossy Gatherings will provide the Master of Ceremonies for each event.
If the Venue cancels within three weeks of an event date, a late cancellation fee of $100.00 must be paid to cover the expenses of booking and promotion. Additionally, 50% of the entertainer's fee must be paid to the entertainer.
The Event Schedule *** All event performances start at 7:00pm.
3:30pm, The Mossy Gathering's Crew (the crew) must have access to the venue to set up stage and audience sections. At this time audio equipment will be set up. The venue is encouraged to stay open to customers. The crew will be respectful of customers and staff.
4:30pm, the entertainers will arrive at the venue for sound, layout and blocking check.
5:30pm, pot luck (where applicable). Merchants are encouraged to continue business. No outside desserts, snacks, or beverages will be brought in as part of the dinner.
7:00pm, MC welcome, shout-outs to hosting venue, introduction of feature Artists.
7:10pm, Concert starts.
7:55pm, 20 minute intermission.
8:15pm, MC Announcements, shout outs to hosting venue, Announcements of all upcoming Mossy Gatherings concerts and many, if not all, other upcoming events in our area.
8:20pm, Second Set begins.
9:00pm, scheduled end. Encore performances can be decided by the hosting venue and musician.
10:00pm, by this time, if there have been no encores or curtain calls, the Mossy Crew will have everyone out, the venue cleaned and restored to original condition and the doors locked.
*Tickets sales at Harmony Centre may happen in future if they create box office hours.
